Downtown Portsmouth's Only BYOB Restaurant Closing

Zahtar Mediterranean Sandwich Bar is closing.

The ownership of the Fleet Street restaurant made the announcement on Facebook. It said the restaurant will close Saturday after normal business hours that day.

"I would like to thank all of our customers for their business over the last two and a half years, and hope to be able to cook for you all again sometime soon," the announcement reads.

Zahtar was the only downtown restaurant that allowed patrons to bring in their own alcohol.
