The owners of the Cemita Shack restaurant are inching closer to opening, but have not set a date yet.
Michelle Lozuaway and Josh Lanahan, who also own STREET, have erected a new sign in front of the new Lafayette Road eatery and sported a new Cemita mobile.
On the Cemita Shack's Facebook page, the owners only say they will open soon.
"Someday I will open. And that day will be a good day," the owners wrote on Sept. 28.
In another Facebook post, the owners said they hoped to be open by the end of September. Attempts to reach either Lozuaway or Lanahan for comment on Tuesday were unsuccessful.
Some of the Cemita Shack's Facebook followers are beginning to lose patience.
Derek Demeter wrote: "I've been wanting a quick Cemita for weeks now and have been losing hope that the shack will EVER open. Please open soon!"
Alexandra Lockwood also lamented, "Really wanted one today! Can't wait for you to open."
