Police Release More Details on 'Brazen' Downtown Robbery

A masked man stole two bank bags from a fourth-floor business, police said.

Police on Monday continued to hunt for a suspect accused of a "brazen" early morning robbery in the fourth floor of a downtown business.

Police said a man in a dark, knit mask or scarf stole two bank bags from the business at 99 Bow Street. The suspect was chased by an employee but got away, according to Deputy police Chief Corey MacDonald.

Police described the suspect as about six feet tall, with a plaid shirt with white checks and light denim pants.

Officers and a K-9 unit searched the area for the suspect.

The robbery happened shortly after 9 a.m. Police declined to name the business or describe the contents of the bank bags.

The building houses the Martingale Wharf and Surf restaurants.

Police said anyone with information on the crime should call them at at 603-610-7503. Anonymous tips can be made to Seacoast Crime Stoppers.
